Lexy Rose was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and attended the Denver School of the Arts as a dance major throughout middle and high school. In 2002, Mrs. Rose moved to NYC to pursue a BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College, as well as a professional modern dance career. While dancing professionally, Lexy had the opportunity to tour throughout the U.S. and internationally, while also earning a personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Lexy established a Manhattan clientele of all ages and athletic experience, providing her exercise services to individuals within their homes, as well as corporate gym settings. After a number of years working with pre and post-natal mothers, individuals with disabilities, and those of various athletic endeavors, Lexy was inspired to make her return to the world of academia at Columbia University. Lexy earned her Masters’ degree in Applied Exercise Physiology, focusing her studies and her final thesis research on pre and post-natal adaptations to exercise.
Since her return to Denver, Lexy has had the pleasure of making her way into the wellness community within a number of venues. Initially providing specialized strength and conditioning training to clients at Pura Vida, she then moved on to fulfill a position as Exercise Physiologist within the physical therapy department at The Lutheran Spine Center. Lexy has worked with the dancers at Arts Immersion high school teaching Pilates, modern dance, and anatomy, and spent a number of years teaching strength, Pilates, and abdominal awareness based classes at Belly Bliss. In 2017, Ms. Rose became certified in fascial stretch therapy and opened StretchWorks.
Since spring 2022, Lexy has been working with Upswell recovery studio, developing class programming, teaching classes, and helping to create this novel wellness studio in the heart of Denver. Lexy is proud to be a Founding Teacher, Head of Myofascial Education, and a partner of the Upswell team.
Aside from owning and operating StretchWorks and Upswell, Ms. Roses’ most current endeavors include promoting world peace, making and taking in art of all forms, road biking along the paths of Denver, and loving every moment she can get with her two daughters.
